HARMONIA HEALTHCARE FOR WOMEN

Advancing medical science from research to care, Harmonia empowers women with the support they need to lead healthier, higher quality lives.

Our Vision and Mission

We exist to eliminate the healthcare gender gap.

Elevating women’s quality of life by advancing scientific understanding, innovating treatments and advocating for underdiagnosed, undertreated, and otherwise dismissed female-specific diseases.

Our Inception

Founded by strategic life science executives and mothers, Kristen Williams and Leslie Gautam,
Harmonia was conceived from the desire to advance and innovate women’s healthcare.

While working together at Torreya, pioneering clinical research alongside Dr. Marlena Fejzo for
Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG), Kristen and Leslie combined their expertise to develop Harmonia’s
first initiative; compassionate, effective outpatient care for HG and Nausea and Vomiting in
Pregnancy (NVP).

Incubated at Emerald Bioventures and led by Tim Opler, Harmonia launched their first physician-led,
specialty care clinic for patients suffering from HG and NVP in 2023.

“We started Harmonia because women deserve better advocacy, access, and attention in today’s medical system. We believe the best way to elevate and support women is through better healthcare. Great health sets the stage for everything else in life.”

Our Why

We believe that good healthcare for women enables them to be their best selves.

The Greek goddess of harmony, balance and concord, ‘Harmonia’ represents our goal to address the unmet needs of women’s health. By advancing the research, treatment and care of often dismissed,
underdiagnosed and undertreated women’s health conditions, we aim to improve health outcomes
for all women.

“Liberty is to the collective body what health is to every individual body. Without health no pleasure can be tasted by man; without liberty no happiness can be enjoyed by society”.

– Thomas Jefferson

Our Approach

By listening to women’s experience, leveraging cutting-edge science, and collaborating with leading physicians, Harmonia develops treatments and care that provide meaningful improvements in outcomes and patient experience.

Seeking to close the healthcare gender-gap, starting with HG, Harmonia continues to explore the multitude of women’s health concerns that have yet to be addressed, furthering advocacy and elevating health and economic outcomes for women’s healthcare.

Focused on physician-lead research, diagnostic and treatment programs, Harmonia Healthcare is led by a best-in-class founding team of women.
