ALLEVIATE MORNING SICKNESS FOR YOUR PATIENTS
Our dedicated medical team works seamlessly with your office to reduce
- Appointments for ER Visits
- Patient calls
- Med Refills
- Morning sickness
With zero impact on global obstetrical reimbursement as our care is billed outside global reimbursement for a birth.
We streamline your patient care, allowing your team to focus on other priorities, while we provide targeted relief for pregnancy-related sickness for those who need it.
OUR RADICALLY IMPROVED CARE MODEL
Our proven care model has been used to improve the health outcomes of over 500 women struggling with severe NVP and HG during pregnancy.
Your patient will continue to see you for their entire pregnancy, while we work hand in hand with you to support patients by providing a personalized care plan to manage their symptoms.
We will fax you all our records for your patients and keep you updated on their treatment and progress so that you can continue to monitor the overall health of your patient and their baby.
We keep your patients out of the ER and out of the hospital, reducing cost for the patients and your practice.
The second most common cause of ER visits in the first 20 weeks is HG.
Many insurance carriers are starting to cut reimbursement for physicians if too many empaneled patients go to the ER and are not admitted.
Based on ACOG and HER Foundation treatment protocols, our care plans help to keep severe HG patients out of the ER, hospital and even off of home health.
Personalized Treatment Plans for NVP & HG Including:
- Proprietary Infusions:
- IV Fluids
- Vitamin Infusions
- Electrolyte Replacement
- Antiemetics
- Lab and Prescription Management
OUR STREAMLINED REFERRAL FOR YOUR PATIENT
Effective, timely care is crucial for the reduction of HG severity and progression of symptoms.
Research shows prescription medications and infusions can disrupt the course of HG and reduce ER visits & hospitalizations by 95%.
We are NOT affiliated with any hospital or obstetrics clinic. You can feel secure in your business sending your patients to us.
Genetically Based
Marlena Fezjo, Chief Scientific Officer at Harmonia Healthcare, discovered that the cause of HG is linked to the hormone GDF15, responsible for nausea and vomiting.
HG is a genetic condition, not psychological in nature, and is unrelated to the commonly blamed pregnancy hormone, hCG.
In a groundbreaking December 2023 study published in Nature, Fejzo and her team demonstrated that heightened sensitivity to GDF15 is likely the primary trigger for severe pregnancy nausea.
A patient’s experience can vary due to genetics, body chemistry, fetal gender, and overall health, which is why Harmonia tailors each treatment plan to an individual’s symptoms.
Clinically Validated
Our evidence-based clinical protocols are rooted in research from the HER Foundation, ACOG guidelines, and original studies at our pilot HG clinic in Alabama; to which OBGYNs and midwives from three major hospital systems refer patients to the HG clinic for treatment of nausea and vomiting.
Our comprehensive care, which includes early intervention, IV hydration, safe pregnancy medications, and nutritional support, has improved the experience of over 600 mothers. This has provided significant reductions in nausea, vomiting, depression, social isolation, and suicidal ideation.
Local OBGYNs report that not only are their patients healthier and happier, but the majority are able to resume most elements of daily life including work, parenting and social outings.
